The Ryder Cup, professional golf's top international match play competition, is one of the most prestigious events in all of sports - and Louisville is ready to host in our own, original way. Louisville Metro Mayor Jerry Abramson has formed a task force comprised of local business executives to create activities surrounding the event that include the entire community. The Governor of Kentucky has formed a similar group on behalf of the Commonwealth.

The Mayor's Task Force - now referred to as the Louisville Host Committee - created Louisville Events Inc., a 501 (c)3 not for profit organization that is doing business as The Cup Experience. Headquartered in downtown Louisville at the offices of Greater Louisville Inc., The Cup Experience will create ways for local and regional businesses, local citizens and out-of-town visitors to participate in the community-wide celebration, regardless of whether they have tickets to the event. The focus will be on presenting memorable hospitality; creating, funding and managing of a series of activities, entertainment, and golf-related events; and providing a platform for businesses and individuals to make connections through golf.
